About Walmart Frozen and Dairy Departments

The Frozen and Dairy departments are the cold-chain backbone of every Walmart grocery operation — hundreds of linear feet of freezer doors and refrigerated bunkers stocked with ice cream, frozen meals, frozen vegetables, milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, and butter that customers shop every single visit. Frozen and Dairy Associates work in and around refrigerated environments throughout their shift, stocking products that must be rotated precisely by expiration date and monitoring temperatures that must remain in compliance with food safety regulations at all times. The physical intensity of handling heavy frozen cases in cold conditions makes this a demanding but essential position.

Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Frozen and Dairy Associates to stock and maintain the frozen food and dairy departments at Supercenter and Neighborhood Market locations. You will stock freezer doors, fill dairy bunkers, rotate product by expiration date, monitor cooler and freezer temperatures, and ensure these high-turn departments are fully stocked and organized throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock freezer doors with frozen meals, vegetables, ice cream, and frozen breakfast items from backroom freezer pallets.
• Fill dairy bunkers and cooler shelves with milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, butter, and refrigerated beverages.
• Rotate all products aggressively by expiration date pulling soon-to-expire items forward and placing newest stock behind.
• Monitor and record freezer and dairy cooler temperatures per food safety compliance requirements throughout each shift.
• Pull and dispose of expired products documenting waste per Walmart food safety and shrink tracking procedures.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 16+ years of age. No prior frozen or dairy stocking experience required. Must be comfortable working in freezer environments (0°F and below) and refrigerated coolers for extended periods. Must lift up to 50 lbs including heavy cases of frozen and dairy products.
